AVventura 2013 – Endurance, Strength & Perseverance!

January 11, 2013
The largest local cross-terrain adventure race is here again!
This annual SAFRA event now in its 8th year focuses on the mental and physical fronts of participants. It has teams of two working together; tackling multiple endurance sport disciplines such as trail biking, running, kayaking as they navigate through unknown rural trails. The route to victory is usually complicated with various mystery obstacles at selected checkpoints.
Previous years have challenged teams with a 51 KM route. And last year, participants were given an opportunity of a lifetime when they got to scale and abseil off an 18 Meter natural rock face at a dairy farm quarry! There was also an 8 meter rope climb up the Zhenghua flyover and new segments were introduced as part of the Canopy Challenge Walk at SAFRA Adventure Sports Centre.
This year will be yet another challenge for participants as they test their endurance and persevere for the top prize!
The stage is set for a heart pumping and exciting weekend!
Will the participants outdo the elements or will they be outdone?
Look out for more as we await the flag off this Sunday, 13 JAN 2013.
