Planning a successful family trip is a precarious affair: your parents might prefer a slow, relaxing day of sightseeing while you and your siblings might opt for something more adventurous. If you’re a dad the itinerary would include even more considerations to keep your child’s mood and safety in check. Family friendly places are sometimes a hard gem to find.
Take heart, we’ve done some groundwork research for you. Here are 5 awesome destinations to visit around Singapore suitable for all ages, offering different kinds of entertainment – from the adventurous to the educational - all of which provide great opportunities for families to bond and have a swell time.
1. Resorts World Sentosa
You wouldn’t go wrong with Resorts World Sentosa, the all-in-one destination for all things fun. Experience the thrill of the roller coaster rides and other movie-themed attractions at Universal Studios Singapore. Get inspired by the myriad of marine wonders at the Marine Life Park, enjoy endless splashes of fun at Adventure Cove Waterpark, dive deep into Asia’s maritime history in The Maritime Experiential Museum, and let your imagination run wild at the Trick Eye Museum. If you’re into concerts or musicals, the Resorts World Theatre hosts some of the best shows in town. Not to mention the array of top-notched, Michelin-starred restaurants and spas for you to dine and take a short respite in this megawatt hotspot.
What’s more, cap the weekend night with the Crane Dance performance, the world’s largest dancing animatronics show. Time would be the only challenge to catch up with all these attractions.

If your child is wallowing to bring one home, visit the Mama Panda Kitchen and bring home the Panda Pau, which is equally cute and insta-worthy. The Amazon River Quest is a must visit for parents with children – they would definitely love the boat ride and offers a great view of the jaguar and other wildlife animals.
